As a congregation we share a vision for vital worship, faith groups, congregational care, new generations, and community missions. These areas of focus were cemented in a series of Listening Tour gatherings led by Pastor Tish in the Fall of 2024. Now we are taking the next steps toward our Shared Vision 2026+

 

You are invited to create new initiatives and strengthen existing ministries by attending our open planning meetings and connecting with current ministry leaders. This is your invitation!

Shared Vision 2026+ Highlights

 

Faith Groups – Tuesday, January 13, 6:30pm. Come to this open meeting if you would like to be a leader or help plan upcoming small groups and Bible studies. New Faith Groups will begin early in the year for everyone’s participation.

 

Congregational Care – Sunday, January 25, 10:40am in The Prayer Chapel. This short meeting will empower you to take communion to homebound congregants. In the Spring, Stephen Ministers will help meet the ongoing care needs of our congregation. Contact Mark Landau or Kathy Ciscell to get involved. connect@festusumc.org.

 

Community Missions – Wednesday, January 28, 6:30pm. All mission leaders and interested participants are invited to this open planning meeting to evaluate and coordinate how we are making a difference through our missions in 2026.

New Generations – Staff and volunteers will lead Confirmation 2026 and New Worship launching 1/11 @ 11am, while we continue Holy Moly, Nursery care, and events for our youth. If you wish to get serve with any of these initiatives, contact Julie Holland.

 

Vital Worship – Tuesday, February 3, 6:30pm. Join Pastor Tish to help plan worship for Lent and Easter. Existing teams will continue to lead music, prayer, hospitality, and technology for worship. Connect with Pastor Tish or a ministry leader to get serve.

 

All gatherings are open meetings for those wishing to plan, lead and actively serve in ministry. Additional opportunities for congregational engagement will be shared in the bulletin as plans are made for the year.

 

Every believer is called to pray, serve, and give. Pray for the Spirit to guide our open planning meetings. Seek God for the ways that you are called to serve and give.
